Our summer tours in Provence take place in one of the most scenic parts of the Luberon, between the perched villages of Lacoste and Bonnieux, first with instructor Martin Campos, June 4-12 and another with accomplished artist and teacher Bethanne Kinsella Cople from June 15-23.
***Please note that as of March 2025, Bethanne's section is almost full and Martin's, more than half full.

Popular and highly regarded instructor Jill Carver will teach this workshop in the Land of Enchantment, New Mexico! Jill Carver has been immersed in painting the Southwest for the past 22 years. Her work explores the line between representational and abstracted styles, and she brings a unique and fresh vision to the genre of Western landscape painting. Our base of operations is a beautiful and elegant ranch near Abiquiu, with the Chama river in our back yard, and we will be there at the most beautiful time of year when the cottonwoods turn to gold. This is Georgia O'Keefe country and we will get to see where she actually painted at Ghost Ranch, and then spend the day there painting ourselves.

Popular instructor Martin Campos will teach this workshop as he returns to the Luberon with many fresh ideas and inspiration. Martin is a very generous teacher and as past students can attest, he gives it his all. He can help you loosen up and simplify your compositions. The property where we stay offers so many vistas and options for painting that we will do a lot right from the estate! Located between the villages of Lacoste and Bonnieux, you can see both from where we stay. We also plan to have a model for part of our time here. We provide portable easels, palettes and stools for your convenience.

Bethanne will lead this workshop in the picturesque Luberon region, during the lavender season. There are several lavender fields nearby, perfect for painting at different times of the day, charming perched villages nearby and amazing opportunities for art right from the property. A very hands-on instructor, Bethanne has structured lessons and methods which she will share to help you improve your plein air paintings skills.
